Project Manager
Job Description
To take responsibility within and outside the office for the management of a construction project including the staff and resources involved in that project.
Key Responsibilities
- To coordinate and manage all contractual requirements, design drawings, and project specifications that include but are not limited to project coordination, project controls, construction progress, cost tracking for Vos and additional works, project schedule adherence, health and safety adherence, weekly meetings, meeting minutes, reports and documentation, project monthly report generation, change tracking for generation of relevant forms for Client’s sign off, application of building management work permit and all regulatory permits up to CCC, defects and snag list management.
- To take charge of Project Management in a Design & Build environment.
- To ensure integrity of the design during construction, quality control, and timely progress to completion.
- Site management. Contractor & General worker management.
- Strong administrative and documentation abilities to comply with ISO system. Must be able to generate project documents, reports, minutes, letters, etc.
- Excellent coordination and leadership skills.
- Client management.
- Local authority compliance and submissions.
- Strong team player.
- Excellent communication skills (especially English).
- Dynamic personality, well groomed.
- Adept at project planning and scheduling (MS Projects, etc.) with great diplomacy skills.
- To learn how to generate and prepare an effective Construction/Strategic work program using Microsoft Projects.
- Knowledge of the standards, procedures and regulations of the building & construction industry.
- Lead & coordinate with our Safety Manager.
- Ensuring that projects are conducted in a way which impresses people both outside and within the Company with your professionalism and skill, and which is consistent with the Company’s objectives and Business Plan.
Requirements
- SPM, STPM, Diploma or Degree in Construction Management/Engineering/Interior Design or related field.
- Minimum 6-8 years of working experience in related field.
- Candidate must be reliable and committed with a strong sense of integrity and confidentiality.
- Excellent written and spoken English & Bahasa Malaysia is required.
- Working experience in the field of Interior Design / Construction is highly preferred for this position.
- Candidates must be willing to travel outstation as projects could be based in other states within Malaysia.
- Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, when required.
